What is Audio Tour?
1. Audio Tour full introduction and orientation
You will need:
a smartphone with data
smartphone web browser app
headphones
smartphone camera app
Start the tour at the 2019 container at the Performance Arcade site (behind Te Papa on the Wellington waterfront).
Short tour – Four sites around the main Performance Arcade site (approx. 15 – 20 mins)
Extended tour – 8Eight sites, includes the first four , then a 1.2km walk from the main Arcade site towards the city along the waterfront (approx. 30 – 45 mins)
The Audio Tour audio tracks are hosted on the internet.
You will need data or access to wi fi to open a web browser.
Please be careful as you move around the waterfront – lots of people use this space. You will need to be looking as well as listening.

No Headphones?
We have some headphones you can borrow for the duration of the tour. Pick up from from the Audio Tour container at the main Performance Arcade site behind Te Papa. Please note that these headphones may not be compatible with all smartphones. Try holding your phone up to your ear - that can work just as well!

Access
Audio Tour involves looking and listening. It is designed as a solo experience but can be shared with others if this makes it more accessible. The short look is wheelchair accessible. The long loop includes a 1.2km walk, sometimes up or down a few stairs so that not all parts of the experience are wheelchair accessible. Please feel free to adapt the experience to meet your needs or get in touch to work out how to best access the experience.
